Requesting a Transcript By Mail
Requests should be mailed to:

- Transcript requests received by mail will be processed within one working day after they are received.
- Request a transcript by the name under which you attended Sweet Briar. If you have a maiden name, please include it in your request. If you have legally changed your name, please include the "new" name as well.
- Include your signature. (We cannot process your order without this. A computer-generated signature is not acceptable)
- Include your Social Security number and date of birth.
- If you are a graduate of Sweet Briar, include the year you graduated. If you did not graduate, include the years you attended.
- Indicate the name and specific address where the completed transcript is to be mailed.
- Provide a telephone number where you can be contacted during the business day if there is a question or problem regarding your transcript request and your current home mailing address.
Under provisions of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 as Amended, Sweet Briar College cannot honor a transcript request for a student's academic record from any other individual (including parents), government agency, corporation, etc. without a signed release from the student authorizing the release of their transcript to a specific person, corporation or agency.
